By RequestThe Spiegeltent14, 21 & 28 Feb at 5.30pm Tickets $30 (Conc & Fringe Benefits $25 / Child $10) The Adelaide Fringe is upon us again, and as always, there is something for everyone in this year’s program of sights and sounds. Here’s a show for music lovers who like to know what’s coming up next. ‘Etype…by request’ is a four course listening experience, Ã la carte for your ears you might say. Set in the charm of the Spiegeltent, nestled in Rundle Park’s Garden of Unearthly Delights, a waiter awaits, ready to take your order. Selected audience members are given the opportunity to choose the next course of songs from the evening’s menu of offerings. Drawn from the band’s most popular repertoire of songs, the menu will take audiences back to the early days of this South Australian favourite, when they were lovingly known as ‘etypejazz’, and then into the future with combinations that include songs that are yet to be recorded. No show will be the same, as the audience decide the song cycle. For those unfamiliar with the sounds of Etype, this band perform a mix of popular smooth jazz and big bluesy numbers, combining original music with unique jazz arrangements of all time favourites. Be sure to get in quick as Etype’s shows have a tendency to sell out during the Fringe. Beth Lyon from the band tells, “Playing to a capacity filled Spiegeltent last year was amazing, people were shoulder to shoulder.
