Freefall the new work by Gravity & Other Myths will explore fears, both common and bizarre, and the way these fears affect us. Drawing on their strong repertoire of circus and physical theatre skills, the young cast will reveal the underlying honesty of seven distinct characters as the learn to face their fears.

Fear is common to all people and the inherent risk-taking and trust forming nature of high level acrobatics is the perfect visual medium with which to explore these concepts. The artists will combine traditional circus disciplines including hula hoop, juggling, adagio, hoop diving and acrobatic pitching with contemporary movement and physical theatre to develop a dynamic and innovative performance style. Using interactive lighting effects and dynamic audio, the artists will create an engaging and atmospheric performance space.

Through spoken word and the unique physicality of each character, Freefall will transcend the conventional concept of fear to show the deeper complexities and resulting everyday habits that fear evokes in us all.
