The Arts Centre Forecourt, 100 St Kilda Rd, Melbourne Jamie Oehlers - Lost and Found – Oehlers/Grabowsky/BeckSun 30 Nov at 4pm Tickets $15.00 Lost and Found is a new collaboration between three of Australia’s finest improvisers, multi award-winning saxophonist Jamie Oehlers, acclaimed pianist Paul Grabowsky and the supremely talented drummer, Dave Beck. This bass-less trio embodies the spirit of the great explorers by performing in a purely improvised setting and creating an exciting adventure through a myriad of shifting harmonic, melodic and rhythmic contours. Oehlers, Grabowsky and Beck take you on an improvised journey through time and space, reassembling musical atoms, as they move to create a new melodic universe. Their Debut CD “Lost and Found” is an ARIA nominee for Best Jazz Release. “This music eschews any repetition. It explores every corner and combination of the three voices.
